Hello Kyrene Community, 

My name is Will Wallstrom, and I am a proud father of three Kyrene students. Like many families, I care deeply about the quality of our schools, the support for our teachers, and the future we are building for our kids. 

As a physical therapist, I have built my career helping others grow, recover, and reach their full potential. I believe the best way to lead is by example. That same mindset guides my approach to serving on the School Governing Board, with a focus on students and support for the teachers and staff who make our schools strong. 

One of my most meaningful experiences in the district was serving on the Long Range Planning Committee. I worked alongside district leadership, staff, parents, and community members to develop recommendations for a Maintenance and Operations override and school consolidation. 

Through that process, I gained a deeper understanding of the work happening behind the scenes and the dedication of the people who serve our schools every day. I also saw the importance of clear communication, transparency, and community trust in decision-making. 

In recent conversations with families and neighbors, I have heard a consistent theme of frustration, especially following school closure decisions. I am running to help refocus our efforts on what matters most: strong learning environments, a positive culture, and preparing students for the future.
